Saturday April 6th 2013 10 am – 4 pm BSA Space 290 Congress St. Boston 02210
Learning By Design in Massachusetts and The Boston Society of Architects have joined together again for KidsBuild! to be held at BSA Space. Guided by designers and architects, families will choose a construction site from a fictional city grid, design and build a building, and be awarded a certificate of occupancy from the City building inspectors. KidsBuild! lets kids formulate their ideas about architecture, design and construction as they build a city from the ground up.
This FREE event is made possible in part by our generous sponsors including Margulies Peruzzi Architects, Lee Kennedy Co., Kalin Associates, DBA-W Architects, Owens Corning Foundation, the Boston Foundation for Architecture, Service Point and Boloco. Please contact us if you would like to support KidsBuild!
KidsBuild! is designed for children ages 5 – 13. A maximum ratio of 3 children per 1 adult will be required.
Families members will work together to build a design for 1 site in the city. When choosing a registration time, indicate the number of people in your group.
Registration is strongly recommended and is accepted at 30 minute intervals from 10 am – 2:30 pm. Program completion time varies but families should allow 2 hours to complete the building process.
