Family Day Programs at the BSA Space encourage children and adults to observe, explore and design together. In these 2 hour, hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design of Boston and the world through exhibit tours, neighborhood walking tours or slide shows, and then complete a hands-on design activity.
Join LBD:MA for our first Family Day Program:
- From Bricks to Bridges: Kids Design along the Waterfront. Sat. September 22, 10:30 – 12:30 @ BSA Space, 290 Congress St., Boston
We’re excited to be kicking off our series with an investigation of our wonderful Fort Point neighborhood. First explore the architecture of the Waterfront with a walking tour to learn about building types, structure, materials and the elements of architecture. Come back to BSA Space and create a model of your design for a new building for the Boston Waterfront.
Family Day Programs are designed for children ages 5 – 13 years old, accompanied by an adult (a maximum ratio of 3 children per 1 adult will be required). Tickets are $5 per person, children and adults. Program begins promptly at start time. Registration is strongly recommended. Click here for the Event Website & Registration
